Scope of activities

Three pillars

Three areas, one method: source data, repeatable calculations and a full audit trail. Technology scales what we have been doing in analyses and disputes for years.

Fintech and legaltech

We build tools that automate analytical work previously done by hand: calculating recovery-cost compensation and interest, valuations, dating the onset of insolvency, reading case files. Every tool keeps a human in the decision loop and maintains an audit log. Some products are live, some are under development or at the research stage.

  • Splacone.pl - recovery-cost compensation and interest in B2B transactions
  • Wycena360 / Valuation360 - valuation of businesses and shares
  • Obrona Zarządu (Board Defence) - dating insolvency and the creditor recovery test
  • Knowledge systems and AI agents for law firms
  • Blockchain forensics and register analytics for enforcement authorities

Specialist economic analyses

We perform analyses whose results must withstand questioning by the opposing party: valuations, lost profits, insolvency, loans and financial products, digital assets. We work on accounting books, JPK (standard audit files for tax, SAF-T), KSeF (Poland's national e-invoicing system), register data and on-chain data. Every assumption has a stated source.

  • Valuation of businesses and shares
  • Lost profits and commercial damages
  • Date of insolvency and directors' liability
  • CHF loans, WIBOR, APRC and the 'free credit' sanction
  • Economic crime cases and digital assets
  • Public sector, R&D, energy, capital markets

Litigation

We support law firms, litigation funders, insolvency trustees and businesses at every stage of a dispute. From calculating the claim before filing, through rebuttal reports, to preparing counsel for the examination of the court expert at the hearing. We check for conflicts of interest before accepting an engagement.

  • Rebuttal and party-appointed expert reports for the case file
  • Comments and objections to court experts' reports
  • Economic and financial analyses for commercial disputes
  • Claim calculation and evidentiary question before filing
  • Group proceedings and litigation funding
  • Consultation before the hearing and the examination of the expert

About the company

A technology and expert services company

Metasy S.A. is a joint-stock company based in Szczecin, Poland, registered in 2022. It initially developed an art tokenisation project (metasy.art); the blockchain and digital-asset experience remains in the company's DNA. Today the company combines three areas: fintech and legaltech solutions, specialist economic analyses and commercial dispute support.

The starting point is practical. Over years of preparing expert opinions for courts, public prosecutors and court enforcement officers, the same tasks kept recurring: reading thousands of pages of case files, extracting financial data, calculating interest, preliminary assessment of share value from register data. We turn these tasks into tools. The expert gains time for what a tool cannot do: judgement, assumptions and responsibility for the result.

Metasy operates within a competence group together with the Institute for Economic Analyses and Expert Opinions (IAEG) and the Economic Advisory Office (KDE). The companies are linked by the same President and a common methodology. The roles are separate: IAEG prepares expert opinions for courts and authorities, KDE provides economic advisory and financing services, and Metasy is responsible for technology, analyses and litigation.

Technology scales expert knowledge

The tool prepares the material and does the calculations. Judgement, assumptions and the signature on the result come from a human. No algorithm replaces the expert's responsibility.

Source data and audit trail

Accounting books, JPK, KSeF, RDF/KRS (KRS - Polish National Court Register; RDF - repository of financial statements), on-chain data. Every figure has a stated source and can be traced step by step to a specific page of the case file.

Compliance and ethics

GDPR, tax secrecy, MiFID II where applicable. We check for conflicts of interest before accepting an engagement. Preparing a party-appointed report rules out acting as court-appointed expert in the same case.

Competence group

Three entities, one address, one person at the helm. Metasy is responsible for technology, analyses and litigation. IAEG (since 2020) prepares expert opinions for courts, public prosecutors, court enforcement officers and insolvency trustees. KDE (since 2016) provides valuations, business plans, grant advisory and consulting. Specialists from across the group join Metasy projects as needed.

Clients

Who we work for

The common denominator: the client needs figures that will hold up before a court, an authority or an investor.

Law firms

Rebuttal reports, objections to court experts' reports, claim calculation before filing, evidentiary questions, preparing counsel for the examination of the expert at the hearing. Plus private knowledge bases and AI agents working on the firm's own documents.

Courts, prosecutors, enforcement officers

Expert opinions through IAEG: appraisal of attached shares, quantum of loss under Article 296 of the Polish Criminal Code, date of insolvency, valuation and tracing of digital assets. Register analytics and procedures for securing crypto-assets.

Insolvency trustees and restructuring advisers

Valuations in pre-packaged sales and inventories of the estate, creditor recovery test, equivalence of consideration in fraudulent-transfer claims (actio Pauliana), assessment of the grounds for a bankruptcy petition.

Businesses and management boards

Calculation of damages or lost profits, defence material in cases under Article 299 of the Polish Commercial Companies Code (KSH - personal liability of directors for company debts), valuations in shareholder disputes, merger and transformation plans, business plans, raising finance.

Funds and investors

Economic due diligence of claims for litigation funders, quantum models and settlement scenarios, valuations of companies and share packages, transaction due diligence.

Public institutions

Audits of R&D projects, programme evaluations, statistical analyses and surveys, financial analyses of hospitals and municipal entities, opinions for regional tax administration chambers.

How we work

Five steps, one fee, a full audit trail

  1. Step 1: Enquiry and conflict check

We check whether we can take the case and whether the scope is feasible on the available material. We give a preliminary feasibility assessment within 48 hours.

  2. Step 2: One fee and one deadline

Once we know the scope and volume of the material, we quote one fee and one deadline. No ranges.

  3. Step 3: Data request list

We send a list of the documents and data required. We work on sources: accounting books, JPK, KSeF, register data, case files. Not on summaries.

  4. Step 4: Preparation and adversarial review

Every assumption has a stated source; every calculation can be reproduced. Before delivery a second pair of eyes looks for weak points the way the opposing party will.

  5. Step 5: Support after delivery

We respond to objections, provide explanations and attend hearings. The engagement does not end on the day the report is sent.
